How to install an eSIM on iPhone and Android

Prepare your phone and install an eSIM using a QR code or manual activation details.

Before you start

    Confirm that your phone supports eSIM and is network-unlocked.

  2. 2

    Connect to reliable Wi-Fi or mobile data.

  3. 3

    Open your Wisp installation details on a second device if you plan to scan a QR code.

  4. 4

    Do not delete an installed eSIM unless support asks you to. Installation codes may only work once.

Install on iPhone

  1. 1

    Open Settings, then Mobile Service or Cellular.

  2. 2

    Choose Add eSIM or Set Up Cellular.

  3. 3

    Select Use QR Code and scan the code supplied with your order.

  4. 4

    If scanning is unavailable, choose Enter Details Manually and use the supplied SM-DP+ address and activation code.

  5. 5

    Label the new line Wisp so it is easy to recognise later.

Note: Apple’s menu names can vary by iOS version, region and language.

Install on Android

  1. 1

    Open Settings, then Network & internet or Connections.

  2. 2

    Choose SIMs, SIM manager or Mobile network.

  3. 3

    Select Add eSIM, Download a SIM or Add mobile plan.

  4. 4

    Scan the supplied QR code or enter the activation details manually.

  5. 5

    Label the downloaded line Wisp and leave it off until your plan instructions say to activate.

Note: Android menu names vary significantly by manufacturer and software version.
