Acceptable use policy

The rules that protect customers, Wisp and partner mobile networks from misuse.

Last reviewed: 12 July 2026

1. Scope

This policy applies to Wisp accounts, websites, eSIM profiles and connectivity plans. Plans are for lawful personal travel use unless the product description expressly permits another use.

2. Prohibited activity

You must not use Wisp to harm people, systems or networks or to break applicable law.

  • Fraud, impersonation, harassment or unlawful surveillance.
  • Distributing malware, phishing, spam or unsolicited bulk messages.
  • Attempting unauthorised access, interception, scanning or disruption.
  • Reselling, sharing or transferring an eSIM or plan without permission.
  • Circumventing security, usage controls, geographic restrictions or fair-use limits.
  • Using the service for activity that infringes privacy, intellectual-property or other legal rights.

3. Network integrity and fair use

Where a plan includes unlimited or high-volume data, a documented fair-use policy may apply to protect network availability. Any material limit, speed management or restriction should be disclosed with the plan before purchase.

Automated, continuous or machine-to-machine use may be restricted where a consumer plan is not designed for that purpose.

4. How Wisp may respond

Wisp may investigate suspected misuse and proportionately warn, restrict, suspend or terminate service. Immediate action may be taken where necessary to protect users, networks or comply with law.

Where appropriate, customers will be told the reason and how to raise a concern. Wisp may preserve or disclose information where legally required.

5. Reporting misuse

A security or abuse contact must be added before launch. Reports should include relevant order or account references, dates and enough evidence to assess the issue without including unnecessary personal information.
