1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files or similar storage technologies placed on a browser or device. They can keep a session secure, remember choices and help understand how a website is used.
2. Cookie categories
Wisp will classify technologies by purpose.
- Strictly necessary: required for security, network delivery, checkout, account sessions and saved cookie choices.
- Preferences: remember settings such as language or currency where the user requests this.
- Analytics: help understand page performance and aggregated usage.
- Marketing: measure campaigns or personalise advertising across services.
3. Consent and control
Strictly necessary technologies may operate without consent where the legal exemption applies, but information about them should still be provided. Optional analytics, preference or marketing technologies will not be enabled until the visitor provides valid consent where required.
The consent interface must offer a meaningful reject option and make withdrawal as easy as acceptance. Continuing to browse will not be treated as consent.
4. Cookie register
The production cookie register must list each cookie or technology, its provider, purpose, category and duration. This register cannot be completed until hosting, analytics, support, payment and marketing tools are finalised.
At the current development stage, Wisp has not intentionally configured advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
5. Browser settings and updates
Browsers can block or delete cookies, but blocking necessary storage may prevent account, checkout or security features from working correctly.
This policy will be updated when the technology stack changes. The date and material changes should be shown clearly.
